The Parish Nurse ministry is a collaborative effort of
Laurel Lake Retirement Community, St. Mary Church, and
First Congregational Church of Hudson.

Our next blood drive will be Sunday, April 27, 2008 (a change due to ARC schedule) in the LOWER HALL. In order to make your blood donation easier, please remember to drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids the day before and the day of donation. Also, eat before you come and make sure you stay after your donation long enough to have a snack and some fluids. You can donate every 56 days (8 weeks); if you do a double red donation, you can donate again in 112 days (16 weeks). St. Mary Church has been a great supporter of the American Red Cross blood drives and we are all very grateful. This is a simple way for us to help mankind. We have never missed our goal. When you see the sign-up sheets, please volunteer to
donate. Thank you!
Our next Healing Service will focus on Forgiveness. Most of us have someone in our lives we need to forgive…sometimes that someone is ourselves. We will have the opportunity to hear a beautiful story of forgiveness from someone who lost her beloved husband and the father of her children in the September 9th attack of the World Trade Center. Please mark your calendars now for Sunday, April 20, 2008, at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
Thank you for your great response to this wonderfully peaceful, reflective time. Chris Rigby leads us in a one-hour meditative yoga class from 7-8 p.m. every Tuesday. Due to the use of all other large spaces, we will be holding the classes in Fellowship Hall at First Congregational Church, 47 Aurora Street. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing, bring a yoga mat or blanket…be prepared to remove your shoes and socks. Please Note: Please come early to prepare to settle yourself…we will close the doors at 7 p.m. so we can begin promptly and not disturb the class. Thank you!
